Andi and Elsa have been dancing together since 2009, and won the Austrian Championship four times (including this year). They also ranked among the top ten in international competitions several times, and have been teaching together in Austria and abroad since some years.

When teaching, they focus on lead & follow, and a harmonic interaction between the partners, following the music - which, for them, is the core of dancing. Things don't need to be very complicated or complex; easy elements and variations can lead to something new, and are decisive to develop a beautiful, varied, and enjoyable Boogie Woogie dancing in Social Dance.

Teaching at BBDC 2024 is particularly special for them, because exactly 15 years ago, BBDC was the first camp they joined together - how better could they celebrate this!

Marcus and Bärbl are one of the longest active teaching and dancing couples in the world of swing. They have been dancing together since 1991 (33 years). Marcus and Bärbl were pioneers at a time when Swing and Boogie Woogie were hardly known. Much has changed since then. These dances are now popular all over the world. Their journey began with boogie woogie. Today, they are one of the few couples who have also mastered all the major swing styles, such as Hollywood and Savoy Style Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, Balboa, Charleston, Vernacular Jazz and Big Apple.

Over the years, they have tirelessly passed on their passion and knowledge. They have not only established these dances in Germany, but have also taken them to many other countries around the world - either in person or through their world-famous World of Swing dance instruction videos. It all started when they discovered that some of the original dancers were still alive. So they set out to meet legends like Frankie Manning, Norma Miller, Gil Bradey, Jean Veloz and Ray Hirsch. In order to be right at the source of their passion, the two moved to the USA for four years. There they produced their first dance instruction videos, at a time when videos were still delivered on tape. Marcus & Bärbl can look back on a successful career. Their hard work has been rewarded with many awards and competition successes. Their hard work has been rewarded with many awards and competition successes. They are multiple world, US and German champions and were honoured with the coveted Feather Award in the USA in 1996 and 1997 and the International Dance Teacher Award in Germany in 2002 for their dancing skills. In 2017, they received the coveted Frankie Manning Award for their achievements.

They are sought-after teachers around the globe, have a wealth of first-hand knowledge and convey the fun and passion for dancing and teaching with a great deal of humour. They have been running their Vintage Club studio in the heart of Munich since December 2011. Since 2005, Bärbl and Marcus have been organising the Munich Balboa and Shag Weekend and the world-famous Rock That Swing Festival, which has become one of the world's largest gatherings for the dances of the 20s to 50s with over 3,500 participants from 35 nations.
